The 26th China Xiamen International Stone Fair is scheduled on March 16-19, 2026 in Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center (XICEC). As a global leading stone exhibition, Xiamen Stone Fair is divided into 8 exhibition areas in 24 halls with as total space of 191,000 sq.m. Under the theme “KEEP PASSION”, the fair will focus on new momentum across the entire industrial chain, new potential for innovative applications, new patterns in global trade, and new trends in cross-industry integration within the shared vision - connecting in a broad circle.

Xiamen Habitat Design and Life Festival (XHDLF) is co-organized by Xiamen Stone Fair and International Habitat Interior Design Association (IHIDA), aiming to explore the ideal living space, facilitate industrial development by design and improve the aesthetics of urban life, thereby building a better habitation era. XHDLF contains 3 parts of exhibition, forum and study tour: Habitat Interior Design Exhibition, Development Forum of Habitat Interior Design and Study Tour.

After experiencing the year of 2024 under the theme of “To Activate” and the year of 2025 “Flow”, we now stand on an entirely new cognitive plane, re-examining the relationship between stone and human habitation. When design innovation reveals essence, and material expression transcends form, true transformation rediscovers the overlooked sensory connections between materials and people.

The 2026 Xiamen Habitat Design and Life Festival centers on the theme “The Sensory Theater of Stone”, presenting a perceptual revolution across dimensions. Through design, it unleashes the sensory value of stone, infusing living spaces with various ways of perception and emotional warmth. Stone becomes the main character of space, where its intrinsic physical properties are no longer merely static material attributes but transform into active storytellers capable of evoking emotional resonance with viewers.

We invite viewers to engage all your senses in an immersive experience of stone's vitality, joining us in profoundly reshaping the paradigm of human living spaces.

Xiamen Habitat Design and Life Festival (2021-2025)

In the evolution of contemporary living spaces, stone has transformed from a functional material into a vital choice for creating immersive multi-sensory experiences, thanks to its irreplaceable physical properties and cultural heritage. The sensory theater of stone channels abstract power into humanity's most fundamental perceptual experiences by using stone as a medium, so as to reconstruct the relationship between people and materials in human habitats.

The chief curator of Habitat Interior Design Exhibition 2026 is Steve Leung, collaborating with global leading designers including Andrea Bonini, Woody Yao, Ray Wong, Gu Teng, Cui Shu, Jaco Pan and David Liu.

From singular physical properties to multidimensional spiritual resonance, design merges tactile and auditory sensations into a complex rather than merely expressing visual effects. This reveals how stone transcends function and form to become a bond connecting memory, nature, and emotion. Ultimately, art, design, and material application converge into a unified whole, infusing living spaces wit vitality. These spaces become realms of perception, embodying the ideal dwelling where individuals resonate with all things.

Xiamen Habitat Design Exhibition (2021-2025)

In this sensory era of information overload, humanity's perception of space is undergoing profound transformation. As a natural material bearing the geological memory of millions of years, stone's narrative power has long transcended the boundaries of traditional visual aesthetics.

The Habitat Interior Design Development Forum in 2026 aims to deconstruct the narrow framework of traditional material narratives and shift toward multi-sensory expressions. It explores how design can endow stone with greater emotions, how its physical properties can be transformed into sensory experiences, and how multi-dimensional construction can foster deep connections between humans and all things.

Stone Industry Study Tour (2021-2025)

The study tour of XHDLF is customized for designers to meet their needs. Through the field trip to stone companies and processing center in person, designers are able to get a comprehensive and deep understanding of the stone industry from stone raw blocks, processing to finished product. While meeting the needs of designers for material selection, it also helps the stone companies to open up more opportunities and achieve a win-win result for both sides.

Since its launch, the study tour has attracted thousands of designers to visit over 40 stone companies. Through immersive tours spanning the entire industrial chain - from quarrying and product development to manufacturing and creative applications - designers gain systematic insights into stone's physical properties, technical limitations, and expressive potential, significantly enhancing their expertise in material selection and spatial realization.

Meanwhile, stone enterprises leverage such communication opportunities to precisely capture aesthetic trends and functional requirements from the design sector. They establish long-term, stable, and efficient interactions with the designer community, thereby continuously stimulating industry innovation through mutual empowerment between materials and design. This collaborative approach drives the evolution of living space quality and fosters shared prosperity across the industry.

Study Tour (2021-2025)

The 2026 Xiamen Habitat Design and Life Festival, themed “The Sensory Theater of Stone”, integrates exhibitions, forums, and study tour into a unified experience. With a forward-looking vision, it brings together global design thinking to systematically unlock stone's potential and drive its deep integration into contemporary living spaces.

As spring unfolds and all things reawaken, we cordially invite you to our rendezvous in Xiamen. Let us explore how stone is imbued with new rhythms of life, awaken spatial emotional memories, and envision the future landscape of ideal human habitats.
